Announcement    I make decorative items out of tree slices and other cool things. Every item in my shop is created individually with care.

USA SHIPPING INFO:
Standard Shipping (USPS First Class) should take 3-5 days to arrive after shipment. Priority Shipping should take 1-3 days (these are the posted times from USPS. Once I deliver your package to the post office it is out of my hands). I appreciate your understanding about shipping delays that are out of my control.

CANADA: Shipping times are usually between 10 days and 2 weeks after shipment.

SIZES AND WOOD TYPES: Please note that I use many different varieties of wood in my work (Maple, birch, poplar, oak, cottonwood, etc). The item you receive may have slightly different grain or color than the items pictured. We carefully curate our wood for appearance and quality. Each piece is selected and sanded by hand, and great care is taken to make sure the items are the sizes advertised. I have clearly listed the size of each item in the description. It is your responsibility to check the size of the item in the listing before purchasing to make sure you know what you are buying. It is also good to note that sometimes as the wood pieces are exposed to different climates and humidity the bark may separate slightly. This typically only happens with Maple wood and in the larger 3 inch size. The bark should not come all the way off, and it can be secured with a drop or 2 of Elmer's glue if you are concerned about it.

-CUSTOM ORDERS: For any customized item that is purchased - you must leave the custom information in the NOTE TO SELLER SECTION AT CHECKOUT. Or the Personalization section (if applicable). This is the only way I can know for sure what information you would like. If you neglect to leave this information, I will contact you through Etsy first and then through email if I do not hear back within one day. If I do not hear from you through either method after 3 days I will cancel your order.

- MY TECHNIQUE: The small pieces of wood that I use are reclaimed from fallen branches, or branches that have been pruned. My husband cuts the branches into slices and sands them smooth. Rustic is the style of our work, not the quality. Our wood is carefully curated for quality and appearance. My designs are all original to me. I use a variety of techniques in my work including using watercolor paint to create a stained effect in the wood. Watercolor is really fun to use on wood because it allows the natural wood grain to show through, unlike acrylic or other thicker paints. I often use black ink to bring the design to life. I also love creating a black and white design with ink, paint, and white pencil right on top of the wood. This creates a really cool contrasting design on a rustic, natural piece of unfinished wood.
